INDUSTRIAL PARK
China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) was established with approval by the State Council in February 1994 and initiated in May 1994. SIP has an administrative area of 288 square kilometers, of which 80 square kilometers is occupied by the China-Singapore cooperation area.
For many years, SIP has maintained a rapid and healthy development momentum, with its major economic indicator increasing by an annual average rate of 30%, and its comprehensive development index taking the second position among national development areas. With 3.4% of the land and 5.2% of the population of Suzhou, SIP creates about 15% of Suzhou’s GDP, therefore becoming an important growth pole.
As a model for the cooperation between the Chinese and Singaporean governments, the development and construction of SIP has always received close care and high attention from the Chinese Communist Party Central Committee and the State Council. While the Chinese economy is coming into a new phase of comprehensive transformation and upgrade, SIP will also take the lead to realize its transformation and development into an innovative service economy and its comprehensive industrial optimization and upgrade.

Suzhou Industrial Park(SIP) has been actively seizing the opportunity of global industrial layout adjustment to accelerate the shift of economic development pattern and promote the transformation and upgrade of industrial structure. At present, SIP has gathered IC, automobile and aviation parts and components, medicine, liquid crystal panel industry and other knowledge-intensive enterprises, and has attracted many of the Global Fortune 500 Enterprises to establish businesses in succession.

SIP features an integration of high-end housings, international apartments and common housings, and keeps a developing pace with life-supporting facilities of commerce, culture, education and health etc, which are sufficient to satisfy the demands of people in the area.
